Theme Thursday: Flowering

I've been visiting Stacy's blog The Land of K.A. regularly for quite some time now, although I often leave comments for her and take full advantage of her awesome photography tips, I have yet to take part in her meme Theme Thursdays. That's about to change.

Stacy chose Flowering for the theme this week. Here's one of those 8 kazillion pics I snapped this past weekend. Can you name this bush? I tried googling it but had no luck.

Another shot from my front garden:

Op close and personal

I prefer the cropped version. This might end up on the wall in the pink red room... it's still a blank slate and that needs to change very soon.

Pansy painting in the garden

Be sure to check out Stacy's blog for more Flowering pics.

Oh, oh...raising hand...I know! I know! It's a purpleleaf sandcherry :) I have one and just love the delicate blossoms that come out in the spring!

Happy gardening!

I knew it was a sandcherry, too! I thought I told you that before when I was over, but alas. You did not have faith in my gardening knowledge. I hurt inside.

Amazing pics once again, Jaime! You are quite the awesome photographer!

P.S.
I know you're afraid of overdoing the pink thing, but I think the sandcherry (which, I might add, I knew was a sandcherry, really I did, I did I did) pic would look great in that room too.

Thank you ladies for your kind words!

Tanya please don't hurt, it wasn't that I didn't have faith, it's that I forgot. :) You know me well enough to know that I have a teeny tiny memory bank. :)

Okay Tanya, you get a 4 plus for your answer of sandcherry. I recognize your fabulous flower knowledge publicly here in blogville. ;)
crazy woman.

I think you're right, it might look better than the last one actually.

Not Mom M....but the other half of EterKnity. We use the same account :)

Oh, I had also told you that it was a sandcherry last year...hee hee...I think you've been mighty busy the last year or so with school and work so I can understand why that piece of info would get lost in that brain of yours.

Beautiful shots and great color! That sandcherry is just gorgeous and that would look great in your pink/red room.

Geesh! If only I could read. Sorry Joanne, your name was right there at the bottom of your comment. Okay A+ for all of the lovely ladies in my life who know what sandcherry bushes look like and a big fat F for me for not remembering the 8 trillion times I've been told. :) Now it's in print and I've written s-a-n-d-c-h-e-r-r-y so many times it will be impossible for me to forget it. I hope...

I'm glad someone knew the answer to the first one - because other than knowing it looked pretty, I was going to be no help at all!

And what gorgeous two-tone flowers!
